At nearly 60 years, Jonak, the essential French footwear brand, unveils a new element of its identity: the monogram.
Designed in line with its logo, the monogram is a concentration of Jonak symbols.

To better understand the birth of this monogram, we must first understand the origin of the Jonak name. Founded in 1964 by Marcel Nakam, the brand takes its name from the founder's wife, Josette, and their son, Joseph. By forming the name "Jonak", a fusion of their first names and the Nakam surname, Marcel sealed the deal: Jonak is and will remain a family adventure. He was right to do so: almost 60 years later, after his son Joseph took over, his grandchildren Lisa and Marcel continue the Jonak story.

It therefore seemed essential for the brand to involve, in part, the letters that form its foundations, both literally and figuratively. First of all, there's the brand's "J", doubled and mirrored, echoing the founder's wife and son. A closer look reveals a stylized "N" and a "K". The 3 consonants of the Jonak name resonate in this bespoke monogram.

Particularly renowned for its boots and ankle boots, Jonak also wanted to discreetly integrate this emblematic model. The result is 2 schematic boot shapes composed of the two intertwined "J "s.

Embodying authentic craftsmanship, the cut-outs in the center of the monogram highlight the process of assembling the different parts of a shoe: no fewer than 150 steps are involved in their manufacture. At Jonak, these techniques are scrupulously respected, a work of passion that perpetuates an ancestral know-how that undoubtedly translates into quality.
